About The Position
The Team Lead will ensure that all warehouse and production operations are performed under controlled conditions; safely and efficiently. They will assist the Operations Supervisor in coaching and training team members, supporting the Supervisors as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Previous leadership experience is required
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent math, reading, and communication skills
- Able to effectively communicate and provide coaching to all employees
- Superior attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Able to work independently and in a team leadership role
- Capable of balancing and effectively utilizing team resources
- Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds alone and greater weights in a team-lift environment; able to lift, carry, bend, stretch, and stand for long periods
Nice To Haves
- a four (4) year college degree is preferred
- preferably in a warehouse setting
- Lean manufacturing experience and the use of various warehouse automations equipment (RF, Voice, etc.) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist supervisor in assigning work and directions to team members while providing training and coaching
- Work and communicate with supervisor, team members, and other departments to meet client SLA and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as required
- Support with determining appropriate production methods and labor levels to meet service deliverables by understanding the impact of workflow on productions by meeting performance standards
- Provide ongoing information to supervisor regarding team member performance and participate in performance discussions
- Assist ISO coordinator with completing ISO audits and certification requirements
- Promote Lean methodology by assisting in LEAN manufacturing activities
- Comply with all safety and quality policies and conduct audits when assigned
- Regularly update work instructions and process flows
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices, and work instructions
