About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Temporary Support Specialist to assist with the structured decommissioning of our company-wide cellphone program. This role will support the transition away from corporate-liable mobile devices and/or service plans, ensuring accurate asset tracking, timely communications, secure data handling, and proper closure of carrier accounts. The ideal candidate is process-driven, comfortable working with large data sets, and capable of coordinating across departments including IT, Finance, HR, and external telecom vendors. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in administrative support, IT support, operating asset inventories, tracking returned devices and associated accessories.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data sorting, filtering, reconciliation).
  • Experience working with inventory management systems or ticketing tools (JIRA) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable managing repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy.
  • Ability to handle, package, and ship mobile devices and accessories.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 lbs.
  • Accurate tracking of all mobile assets.
  • Timely collection and reconciliation of devices.
  • Zero data security incidents during decommissioning.
  • On-time closure of carrier accounts and billing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with telecom carriers (e.g. Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
  • Experience supporting large-scale operational or IT transitions.
  • Basic understanding of iOS and iPhones

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end decommissioning of Berklee mobile devices and service plans.
  • Maintain and update cessation
  • Assist with data validation and releasing lines from our Verizon and AT&T accounts
  • Communicate clearly with employees regarding release instructions, timelines, and policy changes.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support and escalation as needed.
  • Ensure secure handling of devices, including confirmation of data wipes and removal from mobile device management (MDM) systems.
  • Track outstanding devices and follow up with employees or managers as necessary.
  • Support documentation of processes and create reports on progress and completion metrics.
  • Assist with final carrier account termination and confirmation of billingons, asset management, or project coordination.
