About The Position

This role focuses on recruiting and placing candidates for temporary, short-term, hourly, and high-volume staffing needs. The Temporary Staffing Recruiter will manage the entire recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding and placement, ensuring a positive candidate experience and building strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates. The position requires maintaining accurate records in Workday, coordinating essential pre-employment steps, and developing creative sourcing strategies to meet immediate and ongoing staffing demands. The role also involves promoting the HHS culture and career opportunities to prospective candidates.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of recruiting or staffing experience preferred.
  • Experience recruiting for hourly, temporary, contract, or high-volume positions preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple open positions and urgent staffing requests.
  • Strong sourcing, screening, and candidate development skills.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System; Workday experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel between HHS facilities as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for facility travel.

  • Experience in healthcare, hospitality, senior living, EVS, culinary, food service, or other service industries.
  • Previous temporary staffing or agency recruiting experience.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple locations or business units.
  • Experience with Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or other recruiting platforms.
  • Experience managing high-volume candidate pipelines.
  • Experience supporting hiring events and community recruiting initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and place candidates for temporary, short-term, hourly, and high-volume staffing needs.
  • Manage the recruitment process from sourcing through onboarding and placement.
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates who are available for temporary assignments.
  • Source candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, referrals, job boards, networking, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews and screenings.
  • Quickly respond to staffing requests and prioritize urgent openings.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates regarding available assignments, schedules, locations, and start dates.
  • Attend hiring events, recruiting events, and facility-based recruitment activities as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with facility leaders, hiring managers, and candidates.
  • Provide a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the process.
  • Maintain accurate candidate information and recruitment activity in Workday.
  • Coordinate interviews, background checks, onboarding, and start dates.
  • Monitor temporary staffing needs and candidate availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate status, placements, and assignments.
  • Ensure candidates meet HHS hiring and employment requirements.
  • Follow up with candidates and facility leadership to support successful placements.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to meet immediate and ongoing staffing needs.
  • Identify passive candidates and continuously grow temporary talent pools.
  • Maintain pipelines for recurring and high-demand positions.
  • Provide hiring managers with updates on candidate availability and recruiting progress.
  • Identify opportunities to improve temporary staffing recruitment and placement processes.
  • Support career fairs, community outreach, hiring events, and other recruiting initiatives.
  • Promote HHS culture, career opportunities, and growth opportunities to prospective candidates.
