About The Position

The Temporary Sales Associate delivers a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate contributes to a positive store culture, processes customer transactions and merchandise accurately, supports loyalty and credit programs, and participates in store recovery, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
