About The Position

Professor Makaroff is seeking a temporary Research Associate to coordinate joint computational and experimental work with Harvard University. This is a hybrid, 15 hour per week position until the end of August 2026. WPI is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements

Biomedical engineer with knowledge of neuronal activation and interactions including synaptic activation.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of NEURON software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordination of WPI-MGH joint computational and experimental research work with Professor Fried and his team on activation/inhibition of cortical neurons by magnetic microstimulation (micro-coils).
Simulation of coil fields in a dense cellular environment.
