About The Position

Corto Olive is a nationally recognized, family-owned company known for crafting superior olive oil for professional and home chefs. This temporary position located on-site at our Stockton Facility is scheduled based on operational needs. Employees will be scheduled and contacted for work as business needs arise. The shift is typically days, and hours may vary. The Packaging Team Member is responsible for operating automated, semi-automated, and manual production lines to pack high-quality olive oil products. The role works closely with team members to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality standards. This temporary, seasonal position is scheduled based on operational needs. Employees will be scheduled and contacted for work as business needs arise. The shift is typically days, hours may vary.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to details and commitment to quality.
  • Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic math and grammar skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform basic routine equipment maintenance.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Availability to work flexible hours in alignment with harvest and production requirements.
  • Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees.
  • The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • At least one year of experience in packaging or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Experience or exposure to control systems, HMI (Human Machine Interface), and operational dashboards.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring packaging machinery to ensure efficient, accurate, and food safe filling, capping, labeling, and packing of olive oil products.
  • Utilizing standardized work procedures for all tasks and providing feedback on updates needed.
  • Performing routine equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure machinery is functioning correctly.
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or malfunctions that may arise during the packaging process.
  • Reporting any defects or inconsistencies to appropriate personnel.
  • Assisting in the packaging and preparation of e-commerce packaging finished goods.
  • Working closely with team members to ensure smooth operation of the packaging lines.
  • Providing support to supervisor as needed, including taking on additional tasks or responsibilities.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the packaging area, ensuring compliance using sanitation standards and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
