About The Position

The Temporary Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, safety, and labor standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and prepares and maintains merchandise on the sales floor. The role also includes store recovery and cleanliness, participation in shrink-reduction and safety programs, giving and receiving feedback, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect with internal and external customers.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.
