JL Sorenson Recreation Center 5350 W. Herriman Main Street Herriman, UT 84096 Phone: 385-468-1340 The JL Sorenson Recreation Center is a Fitness & Recreation Center located in Herriman. The center amenities include gymnasiums, racquetball courts, multi-purpose room, a lap pool, a leisure pool with toys & slides, party rooms, aerobics & spin rooms, a cardio fitness area, and a strength fitness area (weight room). The center operates a wide variety of youth & adult sports, programs, and services, for which we are always hiring staff. The positions we regularly hire for are listed below. We are looking for motivated, reliable, people-friendly folks to join our team in the following areas: Recreation -- Youth Sports Youth Basketball Officials Soccer Officials (indoor & outdoor) Flag Football Officials Rugby Officials T-Ball Officials Volleyball Officials Track/Cross Country staff (coaches/clinicians for outdoor, indoor, and training programs) Recreation -- Day Camp/Clinics Off Track & Summer Day Camp Group Leaders Multi-Sport Clinicians Aquatics Lifeguards Swim Instructors Swim Team Coaches Custodial/Maintenance Custodians Customer Service Team Front Desk Attendant Building Attendant Due to the nature of some of these positions, the selected applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements TEMPORARY POSITIONS: An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month. Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.Are not considered merit employees. Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.
