About The Position

The Temporary Holiday Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes assisting with purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise, maintaining merchandising standards, and participating in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Associates are expected to support a positive store culture, work effectively with peers and supervisors, and follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. This is a temporary holiday position at the TJ Maxx store at 300 S. Hollywood Blvd, Steubenville, Ohio. The starting pay range is $13.50–$14.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying customer experience principles.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
