About The Position
This is a temporary, part-time position at the Oklahoma Rt 66 Museum, located at 2229 West Gary Boulevard, Clinton, OK. The hourly rate for this position is $13.14/hour. The associate will work not to exceed 19 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. This role requires weekend work and extended hours during the summer and for special events. Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Staffs gift shop desk
- Handles direct sales to the public, including operation of the cash register and credit card machines
- Maintain positive relations with visitors, being courteous, respectful, and exercising flexibility to best serve the public during all work activities
- Assists with ordering, inventory, pricing, and merchandising of stock for gift shop
- Manage backstock and storeroom
- Gives visitors an introduction to the museum
- Gives guided tours as needed
- Helps plan and present programs and special events
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Works effectively in team environment, participating and assisting their peers.
