About The Position

Under general supervision, this position reports to University Dining Food Service Assistant Manager. The ability to organize, clean and sanitize dishware and small wares with the aid of dish room equipment and cleaning supplies combined with opening and closing procedures is required. The ability to communicate with team members and management is also required. The ability to work alternate hours as needed is required. Work will be scheduled Monday through Sunday, between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Variable and Holiday hours may be required.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of sanitation procedures
  • Basic knowledge of stocking procedures
  • Basic knowledge of dish washing equipment
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures

Responsibilities

  • Operates a dishwashing station and associated equipment
  • Assists student employees and provides training as needed
  • Cleans and maintains equipment and work areas to ensure adherence to safe food quality, handling, and sanitation processes and procedures
  • Shelves and organizes (stockroom, warehouse) inventory
  • Moves and maintains equipment and furniture for dining events
