About The Position

This role involves placing blowers, running tubing throughout the ship, and connecting blowers for proper ventilation. The operator will adjust blowers for proper draft, inspect tubing for holes, and make necessary repairs. The position is temporary and located at Ingalls Shipbuilding.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry objects (ventilation tubing) and material weighing up to 30 lbs
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
• Must be able to work off scaffolds
• Will be required to work in various climatic conditions
• Will be required to work in confined spaces common in shipbuilding

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Shipyard or heavy construction experience
