About The Position

The Office of Accessible Education at Williams College is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Temporary Exam Proctor pool for the 2026-27 academic year. The proctor's primary role is to monitor OAE’s new Testing Center, ensuring a secure, quiet, and low-distraction environment for students taking midterm and final exams in a small group setting. General responsibilities also include managing the administration of exam materials and providing basic logistical support to students during their exams, while upholding all standards of academic integrity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to remain seated or move around a room quietly for extended periods of time (2-4 hours)
  • Commitment to academic integrity
  • Willingness to monitor student behavior
  • Ability to address student questions and concerns in a calm and impartial manner
