About The Position

This temporary assignment supports the Texas Technology Access Program (TTAP) grant functions. TTAP is the state's federally funded assistive technology (AT) program, serving Texans with disabilities and those who are aging by helping them acquire and use AT to access school, work, and community, and to support them in living the lives they desire. The position is located at the JJ Pickle Research Campus and is expected to continue until November 16, 2026.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level, OR high school graduation or GED and five years of clerical/administrative experience.
  • Experience with database entry/reports.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving.
  • Experience maintaining and auditing equipment inventory.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat for PDF use.
  • Resume/CV.
  • 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor.
  • Completion of the federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form.
  • Presentation of acceptable and original documents to prove identity and authorization to work in the United States by the third day of employment.
  • Work authorization verification through E-Verify.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the TTAP Device Loan Coordinator with 35-day Assistive Technology (AT) device loans, which includes receiving requests, checking inventory, preparing for shipping, shipping, entering device loan data into the grant data system, receiving returned devices, cleaning/maintaining devices, checking devices back into the grant data system, and putting devices back into inventory.
  • Maintaining, updating, and charging AT device inventory.
  • Assisting with the annual UT inventory.
  • Providing general TTAP support staff administrative support for all other TTAP director/coordinators/projects.
  • Representing TTAP at outreach events.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
