About The Position

This is a temporary, per diem position with 3.5 hours of work per day within the Food Services Department. Multiple positions are available. The role involves interacting with children, maintaining a neat appearance, and demonstrating dedicated work habits while complying with safety and sanitation regulations. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate computer systems and a cash register.

Must comply with safety and sanitation regulations as prescribed by law.
Must be able to lift /move up to 50lbs without restrictions.
Must comply with dress code as designated by the Food Service Department.
Must be competent working with computers, email, and operating a cash register.

Responsibilities

Work on an on-call basis.
Operate district issued point of sale systems (computer software/register) as well as email and other computer software programs as required.
Check student’s trays/meals to ensure all offer vs. serve requirements are met.
Assist with food ordering and inventory control.
Assist and may perform checking of deliveries and confirms that all requested items were received in specified quantity and quality.
Report any items that are missing, substituted, and/or out of stock to the Head of Kitchen or Food Service office.
Assist with food preparation and documentation of production and food temperatures as necessary.
May help with the tracking of daily temperature records of cold storage units, and reports any issue to the Head of Kitchen.
Submit accountability reports per state and federal requirements as directed by the Food Service office and Head of Kitchen.
Responsible for the cleanliness/sanitation of the student dining area as well as the kitchen as necessary.
Demonstrate high standards of customer service, working cooperatively with school administrators, co-workers, school staff, and students.
Perform other duties as assigned as directed by the Food Service office and/or Head of Kitchen.
