About The Position

Diversified Transportation is seeking experienced and safety-minded Class 1 and 2 Drivers for a temporary, full-time position in the Wood Buffalo area. This role involves transporting employees to and from job sites in a camp-based environment, with accommodation and meals provided during shifts. The position is expected to last approximately 2 months, with a start date at the beginning of August. The operation runs 7 days a week with a rotation of 14 days on / 7 days off, though the schedule is subject to change. Employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Fort McMurray. A company-provided uniform is included, and the environment is unionized.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 or 2 driver’s license
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience operating buses or other similar large vehicles
• Ability to obtain clearance for: Driving Record Check (Abstract (no more than 3 demerits) and Pre-Employment Check Ride), Physical Demands Analysis, Drug & Alcohol Test, Criminal Record Check
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Teamwork and positive mindset
• Flexibility to adapt to changing routes, schedules, and job assignments

Nice To Haves

• Previous industrial / camp experience preferred
• Familiarity and good knowledge of Fort McMurray and the surrounding area considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Safely transport all riders, drivers, and the general public home.
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections.
• Deliver excellent customer service to passengers and clients.
• Ensure compliance with Provincial Hours of Service and adhere to all Diversified policies and procedures.
• Adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete and submit daily DVCR’s and FLRA’s.
