About The Position

Temporary positions are not benefits eligible. Incumbent works under the direction of the Department Coordinator or designee, printing, packaging, and organizing ballots and equipment for the Election Office.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months of experience using computer programs required.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail.
  • Must be team-oriented.
  • Must be a Nebraska registered voter or eligible to register to vote.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate computers and other equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Print, package, and organize ballots for early voting and Election Day.
  • Set up election equipment, prepare election materials, and organize supplies.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, supervisors, County employees, elected officials, attorneys, law enforcement, judges, other agencies, and the general public.
  • Comply with Civil Service policies and regulations, collective bargaining agreements, County policies, and laws to create a cooperative, safe, respectful and quality work environment.
  • Report to assigned location with regular, consistent attendance.
  • Perform other duties as directed and assigned.
