Your Role on the Team Job duties include, but are not limited to: Administer competitive grants programs, including tracking, documentation, and coordination across UC campuses. Review and support budget processes, including basic analysis and financial documentation. Plan and organize events, workshops, and programmatic activities for faculty and university partners. Oversee communications, including newsletters, social media, website updates, and general content creation.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with familiarity in humanities research issues and methods.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Experience with event planning, program facilitation, and basic budgetary principles.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in the humanities or humanistic social sciences (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience with grants management or project management software.
  • Proficiency with WordPress, MailChimp, Adobe, and Canva; creativity and interest in design/visual presentation.
  • Familiarity with the UC system, university administrative processes, and tools such as Kuali Financial System (KFS).
