About The Position

Increase sales of meat and cheeses at the deli counter through customer engagement and interaction. Interact with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner to generate brand awareness and increase sales. Prepare and demonstrate new and/or promoted products to store customers through sample arrangements and by demonstrating recipes using company products. Provide excellent customer service; assess the needs of the customer to best recommend products; use product slicer to fill orders and/or provide samples to customers; complete order process for purchases. Clean area and equipment as required by supermarket and local health code. Maintain store shelf standards and inventory through various merchandising strategies, including but not limited to rotation of products; ensure pricing matches current promotions and current marketing and promotional materials are displayed. Notify management in case of an extraordinary issue, including but not limited to, quality failures and overstock. Maintain excellent working relationship with supermarket personnel and management. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of retail or face-to-face sales experience.
Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance.
MVR which meets Bar-S driving standards with review by Bar-S Human Capital.
Food handler’s permit.
Driver’s License which meets company requirements.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
Food product and/or consumer packaged goods sales experience.
Route sales supervision experience in the food products industry.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills; must be able to communicate effectively in person.
Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Fully fluent in Spanish.
Proven ability to motivate self and others.
