About The Position

This role involves two main functions: Rework/Recondition and Packoff. In Rework/Recondition, employees correct product that does not meet FDA or Client requirements. This includes weighing, flattening, and labeling pouches, as well as identifying and reporting foreign materials. In Packoff, employees remove chilled product from the line, place the correct number of pouches into cases, and ensure cases are properly dated, labeled, and taped. Both roles require maintaining a clean work area and adhering to GMP and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to stoop, bend and climb steps.
  • Be able to Lift 20-40 lbs.
  • Be able to work in warehouse environment that may be cold or hot, depending on season during 8 hour shift.
  • Basic literacy skills (English) – to read product code information.
  • Allergen training required.

Nice To Haves

  • May be required to assist in pack-off, prep or sanitation as needed.
  • May be required to assist pack-off lead with associated paperwork, stack boxes on pallet, operate date coder and tape machine.

Responsibilities

  • Correcting product that does not meet FDA or Client requirements.
  • Ensuring pouches are weighed correctly, removing or adding product as needed.
  • Ensuring pouches are flattened correctly.
  • Ensuring pouches are labeled correctly.
  • Identifying and reporting foreign material in product immediately.
  • Removing product from pouches and placing it in V-Mags.
  • Reworking product as required.
  • Moving between assigned areas throughout the day.
  • Maintaining a clean work area, including sweeping, cleaning, removing trash, and removing inedible material.
  • Performing additional responsibilities as instructed by leads or supervisors.
  • Adhering to plant GMPs and safety guidelines.
  • Removing chilled product from the line.
  • Placing the correct number of pouches into cases.
  • Ensuring cases receive date codes and labels and are taped correctly.
  • Ensuring finished product is within acceptable temperature range.
  • Constructing, stamping, taping, and labeling boxes as necessary.
  • Inspecting product pouches and cases for damage, pin holes, bad seals, and incorrect/missing coding.
  • Ensuring batch segregation by completing one batch before moving to the next.
  • Assisting with pack-off associated paperwork.
  • Stacking boxes on pallets.
  • Operating date coder and tape machine.
