About The Position

This is a non-exempt, part-time position limited to 1300 hours annually. Under the supervision of the Public Works Director and the immediate supervisor, the employee assists in the successful operation of Pueblo RecycleWorks. In addition, the employee may perform unskilled and semi-skilled work; collect and dispose of refuse in assigned areas. Duties also include using equipment in either a specific or a variety of maintenance, construction and/or utility tasks. This job description is an overview and is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
A high school diploma or GED
Use a personal computer and related devices
Use software equivalent to Microsoft Word and Excel
Accurately collect and keep detailed records
Work independently, in the absence of direct supervision
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Effective customer service skills
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during work
Familiarity with Pueblo City streets, locations, and landmarks and a demonstrated ability to distinguish cardinal directions

Responsibilities

Assists with Pueblo RecycleWorks site operations which includes yard clean-up, equipment maintenance, and assisting vendors
Provides customer service by answering questions, educating customers on materials accepted by Pueblo RecycleWorks, assisting persons with disabilities with unloading vehicle of accepted items, monitoring recycling containers, and performing other customer service duties
Safely operates a variety of hand and power tools such as push mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, rakes, shovels, and loppers
Cleans, maintains, and services equipment and tools
Performs duties and special projects as assigned
