Impact Community Action Partnership IncAnkeny, IA

About The Position

Since our inception, IMPACT Community Action Partnership’s focus has been to assist families in central Iowa who are unable to meet their basic needs. Low-income households make tough decisions between feeding their families, making their rent, or paying their utilities, causing them to go without things that many of us take for granted. At times like these, families put their trust in IMPACT to help navigate and overcome the challenges they face. IMPACT is distinct from other non-profits in that customer service is our main focus. We want to ensure that all IMPACT families, partners, and guests understand how important they are to us by having a friendly, positive, and inviting experience any time they drop by one of our food pantry locations. We feel it is our responsibility to provide dignity and respect no matter what brings you our way. Over the last nine years, IMPACT has worked hard to change the narrative about people experiencing poverty and there is still work left to be done. If you are passionate about providing excellent customer service and helping our most vulnerable populations, IMPACT may be the place for you! We are currently looking to fill a Temp Food Pantry Specialist position, which will ensure families have access to food and personal services. As a Temp Food Pantry Specialist, you will ensure families receive the highest level of customer service when visiting our centers, document all services provided in IMPACT’s computer systems, and navigate complex systems to solve problems. Part of this role also includes ensuring IMPACT pantries remain clean and organized. Candidates must also be able to lift, stand, and perform physical tasks required to fulfill food pantry duties.
