About The Position

The primary function of this engineer position is to perform TEM analysis on semiconductor devices to understand the profiles, critical dimensions, chemical composition & distribution, defect composition & occurrence step et al, and generate in-depth report to help requesters making decisions on tool status change, process adjustment, wafer disposal et al, which is critical for the Fab to meet yield, TAT and cost reduction goals. Furthe more, this position develops new analysis techniques or improves current analysis techniques in terms of accuracy, throughput and TAT through innovation to meet the analysis needs of our customers on cutting edge technologies.

Requirements

B. S. to PhD in Materials Science, Electrical /Electronic Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline.
Must have >=3 years hands-on experience on TEM and associated analysis techniques.
Must have basic knowledge of semiconductor processes and device physics.
Must have experience on materials physics and chemistry analysis.

Responsibilities

Operate TEM tools of various models to perform timely and high quality analysis and generate in-depth report.
Collaborate closely with customers to understand their demand, interpret or present TEM analysis results, identify defect root cause, establish failure model, determine counter measurements and validation plan.
Collaborate with Ops team on TEM sample quality improvement and development of sample prep BKM for advanced techniques.
Recognize opportunities and lead projects regarding to analytical work improvement in terms of quality, TAT and cost.
Perform level appropriate tool maintenance.
Accept and provide peer trainings for technique transfers.
