About The Position

Citizens First Bank is a division of Seacoast Bank, with this specific position being for Citizens First Bank branded locations and on-site only. Founded in 1991 by the visionary founders of The Villages, Citizens First Bank was created to serve the needs of its community and residents. The bank's vision has expanded to provide exceptional service and lasting relationships to people and businesses throughout Lake, Sumter, Marion, and Citrus counties, operating as a Five Star Bank where hospitality meets finance. This position is for a Teller at the Colony Plaza Branch. The Teller will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service at the teller window, efficiently handling various retail banking transactions, maintaining cash control, performing operational tasks, and adhering to all CFB Teller Standards and compliance requirements while displaying a positive demeanor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Six months in a customer service/retail environment
  • Must be able to withstand varying degrees of stress
  • Must be able to attend work regularly and on time and perform the requirements of the position with little supervision
  • Must have the ability to meet and greet internal and external customers in a professional, positive manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to be function as a member of a team including participating in branch activities and displaying positive behavior
  • Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Good typing skills
  • Skilled in using a 10-key calculator

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teller experience in a banking or related environment
  • At least six months-one year of cash handling

Responsibilities

  • Follows the Bank’s CIP to obtain assurance that the customer is properly identified
  • Queries the customer(s) stated purpose/reason/objective for conducting transactions, such as wires and large cash deposits or withdrawals or other transactions requested by the customer
  • Reports any unusual or suspicious customer activity to BSA, Compliance and/or Security
  • Maintains security of the working environment while meeting CFB Teller Standards. This may include, but is not limited to, balancing daily with minimal differences and/or errors and adherence to all CFB Teller Policies and procedures
  • Processes a variety of transactions including, but not limited to, general paying and receiving items, utility payments and foreign and consignment items in accordance with CFB policy and procedure
  • Adheres to all compliance requirements including, but not limited to, preparing Currency Transaction Reports and placing appropriate holds
  • Further assists customers by listening to their needs, identifying products/services that meet or exceed those needs and directing them to the appropriate department or individual (i.e., loans, new accounts, trust, investments, etc.)
