About The Position

This part-time Teller position in Leeds involves receiving and processing various financial transactions for members, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. The role also includes selling consignment items, cashier's checks, and traveler's checks, as well as transferring funds between member accounts. Responsibilities extend to balancing the cash drawer daily, posting transactions accurately, maintaining member records, and providing routine information about credit union services. Additionally, the Teller will prepare Currency Transaction Reports, identify suspicious activity, cross-sell credit union services, and handle tasks such as processing night drop and ATM deposits. The position requires a commitment to providing excellent member service, maintaining accuracy in transactions, and proactively identifying member needs for appropriate products and services.

Requirements

• One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch.
• Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
• Must demonstrate good judgement in order to evaluate identities, accounts, checks and currency.
• Must have the ability to use an online computer system, organize transactions and accurately handle large sums of money.
• Light lifting required.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells consignment items, cashier checks, travelers checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed; may handle safety deposit rental income.
• Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Notifies Head Teller of any discrepancies.
• Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records in accordance with all established credit union procedures and guidelines.
• Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs member to appropriate department for specific information and service.
• Prepares Currency Transaction Reports and reports suspicious activity for Head Teller's review.
• Cross-sells Credit Union services.
• Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including processing night drop and ATM deposits.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
