About The Position

First State Bank is searching for a customer-focused candidate to fill an opening at our Greencroft Office in Goshen, Indiana. This position is part-time, working Monday through Friday from 9:45 am to 2:15 pm, and at least two Saturdays a month from 8 am to 12 noon at our Goshen Main Office.

Requirements

High School Diploma or a GED
Friendly personality, positive attitude and a professional image
Ability to multi-task as well as maintain composure under pressure
Customer service and cash handling experience
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to operate a computer
Successfully complete in-house teller and new account training

Nice To Haves

Some knowledge of MS Office
Ability to work general equipment such as coin/currency counter, copy machine and fax

Responsibilities

Provide the highest levels of quality service to customers while listening to them and finding the products to best fit their banking needs.
When solving customer problems, be friendly, professional and responsive to their situation, explain solutions and next steps while building rapport and trust.
Have a strong understanding of the features and benefits of all bank products and be able to explain how each product may meet the needs of the customer.
Identify opportunities to refer customers to other areas for more complex services as identified through conversation during interaction.
Process various transactions and open individual accounts as well as business accounts following bank procedures including CIP and Customer Due Diligence processes.
Follow up with customers as needed by phone or by written contact.
Maintain a professional appearance, as outlined in the Dress Code, a professional manner, and a neat and orderly work area at all times.
Close accounts as requested
Attend assigned training sessions and follow bank procedures and regulations
Process transactions, deposits/withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, issue official bank checks by running teller window as needed
Balance cash drawer within standards
