About The Position

As a Teller, you are the face of the bank. You will provide excellent customer service by building and maintaining customer relations. You will maintain and balance your cash drawer daily, accurately process deposits and withdrawals, cash checks, loan payments, and night depository transactions by adhering to Bank procedures and regulations, systems, and compliance policies. Key performance indicators critical to the success of this position include exceptional customer service, maintaining a balanced cash drawer and processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and adherence to all Bank policies, security protocols, and professional codes of conduct.

Requirements

High school diploma (or GED) required.
Cash handling and/or customer service experience.
Computer literacy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills including use of phone, computer, speaking, listening, and presenting.
Good organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous banking experience a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Accurately process retail and commercial transactions including checking and savings deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments while adhering to all Bank policies and procedures.
Efficiently and accurately process batch transactions through the branch capture system.
Assist with night depository duties including logging bags, processing deposits, and issuing receipts.
Refer customers to appropriate staff when needed based on knowledge of bank products and services.
Maintain a balanced cash drawer daily.
Assist customers with safe deposit boxes.
Establish and maintain high-quality customer relations.
Open, sort, and deliver incoming mail by department.
Answer phones.
Perform other duties as assigned.
