Requirements

  • Customer service skills with effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers as well as staff members.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Knowledge of Computer and General Office Equipment.
  • Ability to quickly learn banking software.
  • Ability to work flexible or extended working hours to meet bank needs; demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.
  • Outstanding listening and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn banking products, policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines for compliance issues related to job duties.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years’ customer service, cash handling or banking experience preferred.
  • Applicant should be self-motivated and take initiative to achieve both personal goals and bank objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Accepts checks for cashing, verifying identity of customer.
  • Accepts checks/cash for deposits, verifying cash and endorsement, making change, and issuing receipts.
  • Processes Tax Deposits.
  • Receives and processes loan payments.
  • Processes credit card cash advances.
  • Balances Cash Drawer.
  • Balance and Stock ATM.
  • Processes night deposits and mail-in deposits.
  • Sells money orders, cashiers, cash advances, and other bank-related services.
  • Responds to customer inquiries as appropriate.
  • Maintains proper cash level in drawers, keeps cash secure, and maintains a high level of safety for the Bank.
  • Responsible for outgoing mail and postage.
  • Performs other tasks requested by supervisor as they relate to the Bank and its functions.
  • Practices bank security procedures; protects customer confidentiality and privacy.
