About The Position

Nusenda Credit Union is seeking a Part-Time Teller for their Southside Branch. This role involves approximately 30 hours per week with open availability and flexibility, Monday through Saturday. As the first point of contact for members, the Teller will act as a trusted financial resource, assisting with routine financial transactions at an exceptional service level. The position requires a consultative approach to evaluate, educate, and fulfill member financial needs, with referrals to specialized departments when necessary.

Requirements

One to three years of similar or related experience.
Equivalent to a high school education.
Advance knowledge of service delivery operations.
Accuracy in numbers, procedural detail, processing and balancing negotiable instruments.
Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.

Nice To Haves

Previous banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Processes member financial transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, with a high degree of accuracy.
Financial transactions include, but are not limited to, cash, negotiable instruments, account transfers, and loan/credit card payments.
Assists members by assessing needs and educating on available products utilizing a needs-based sales approach and refers members to specialized departments as needed.
Assist in a variety of tasks to ensure efficient office operations including opening and closing procedures.
Operate as a vault teller and is responsible for vault cash duties including cash ordering.
Assist management with training and development of new and existing tellers.
