About The Position

The Teller Vault role is responsible for directing and scheduling resources to meet the paying and receiving needs of the Credit Union. This position involves managing vault cash, processing member transactions, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and identifying cross-sell opportunities. The role also requires answering member inquiries about products and services and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.
• Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
• Ability to perform basic math skills and to use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5-6,000 words; to read at a slow rate; define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation.
• Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation, and use adjectives and adverbs.
• Ability to communicate in complex sentences; using normal word order with present and past tenses; using a good vocabulary.

Responsibilities

• Receives and Processes member transactions.
• Monitors department activities for compliance with established policy and regulations.
• Takes action to resolve any out of compliance issues.
• Orders weekly cash requirement for the Credit Union.
• Manages vault cash.
• Answers questions about products and services and refers problems that are beyond their authority to the Branch Manager.
• Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross sell services to members through in-person transactional sessions, as well as by telephone and outbound calls.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
