About The Position

The Teller Supervisor ensures daily operations of the branch teller areas are operating efficiently and effectively. Performs direct supervisory duties for the teller line staff and safe deposit area (where applicable), is relied upon to resolve escalated issues with clients and staff. Leads by example performing a ‘Player/Coach’ role, provide leadership and day to day oversight and training for the Lead Tellers and Tellers; promotes new or expanded relationships for the company by maintaining exceptional client relations and referring clients to appropriate advisors for new products and service solutions; completes work with a high level of accuracy; and assures compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal regulations. Fully knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of teller, vault, safe deposit, and may have basic knowledge of opening consumer and business deposit accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Lead Tellers on scheduling, supervising, training, and developing staff
  • Interviewing, hiring, developing and retaining staff as well as conducting performance reviews and providing development paths
  • Ensure completion of required audits and compliance training for each team member
  • Responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and approving weekly time sheets for accuracy
  • Work with teller team members to ensure excellent client service is provided to each and every client, which includes having a strong knowledge of Alerus products and services, teller transaction and operations processing
