About The Position

Tri Counties Bank is seeking to hire for the roles of Teller, Personal Banker I, or Personal Banker II. These positions offer a $1000 sign-on bonus and fantastic, comprehensive benefits. The hiring range is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour for Teller I, and $20.00 to $23.00 per hour for Personal Banker I or II. Both positions include incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package. Tellers sustain and elevate customer trust and satisfaction by executing account transactions, making referrals, and initiating telephone contact. Personal Bankers establish and grow relationships of trust by listening to customers, learning their financial circumstances, assisting with transactions, and introducing products and services that address their needs and goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
  • Able to successfully complete Bank product and sales training courses.
  • Previous sales and cash handling experience, preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to be registered as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) in the Nationwide Mortgage License System and Registry (NMLS).
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Execute account transactions, make referrals to banking partners, and proactively initiate telephone contact with account holders.
  • Safeguard a cash fund of up to $25,000, maintaining an accurate record of deposits and disbursements.
  • Execute an average of 25-50 account transactions per day for customers visiting the branch.
  • Operate desktop computer applications for various banking functions including transactions, account inquiries, compliance, document access, CRM, currency transactions, internal communications, and timekeeping.
  • Handle customer service transactions, such as receiving and disbursing funds, posting deposits, and withdrawing funds.
  • Provide information and assistance in researching customer problems.
  • Balance a cash drawer daily and answer customer inquiries.
  • Probe for customer financial needs and recommend bank products and services.
  • Refer retail loan and deposit products and meet assigned referral goals.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service to Bank customers, ensuring timely and accurate transaction handling.
  • Ensure cash and security procedures are followed and account for assigned cash.
  • Balance cash drawer and maintain it within limits.
  • Complete necessary documentation and data entry.
  • Process all deposit and loan transactions.
  • Make outbound calls to new and existing customers to maintain contact and satisfy servicing needs.
  • Maintain a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws.
  • Conduct an average of approximately 12 or more customer conversations daily.
  • Present features and benefits of various bank products and services (e.g., checking accounts, savings accounts, CDs, online banking, mobile banking, debit cards, overdraft protection).
  • Continuously update a customer relationship management database with records of all customer interactions.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with other Tri Counties Bank financial services professionals.
  • Begin with a personal welcome to everyone who calls or comes into a branch.
  • Use every customer interaction as an opportunity to have quality conversations and understand individual financial needs and goals.
  • Share knowledge about Tri Counties Bank services, products, and partners.
  • Employ appropriate solutions for customers and follow through to ensure their financial needs and goals are fulfilled.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and regularly review sales results with Branch Manager.
  • Prepare an action plan to meet/exceed sales objectives.
  • Ensure all customer transactions are handled accurately and timely according to guidelines.
  • Assist in training branch team members on product knowledge and skill development.
  • Assist other team members in non-primary assigned duties whenever necessary.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
