About The Position

This Teller position offers an opportunity for career advancement within Tri Counties Bank. Tellers are responsible for maintaining customer trust and satisfaction by expertly executing account transactions, making referrals to banking partners, and proactively contacting account holders. The role involves safeguarding cash funds, processing a high volume of daily transactions, and utilizing various desktop computer applications for customer service and compliance. Senior Tellers also play a lead role in teller line activities, assist in coaching other team members, and support branch sales and referral goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Effective selling and cross-selling skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
Able to successfully complete Bank’s product and sales training courses.
Previous experience in a teller role required (Senior Teller).
Ability to lead and direct others (Senior Teller).
Knowledge of all Bank’s products and services (Senior Teller).
May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of all phases of branch operations preferred (Senior Teller).

Responsibilities

Safeguard a cash fund of up to $25,000, maintaining an accurate record of deposits and disbursements.
Execute an average of 25-50 account transactions per day for customers visiting the branch.
Operate nine desktop computer applications for various banking functions.
Handle customer service transactions, such as receiving and disbursing funds, posting deposits and withdrawing funds.
Provide information and assistance in researching customer problems.
Balance a cash drawer daily and maintain it within limits.
Answer customer inquiries.
Probe for customer financial needs and recommend bank products and services.
Refer retail loan and deposit products and meet assigned referral goals.
Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to Bank customers, ensuring all transactions are handled timely and accurately.
Ensure that cash and security procedures are followed.
Complete necessary documentation and data entry.
Process all deposit and loan transactions.
Make outbound calls to new and existing customers to maintain contact and satisfy servicing needs.
Maintain a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws.
Participate in daily team huddles and one-on-one debrief with Assistant Branch Manager (Senior Teller).
Proactively partner and assist Assistant Manager in referral coaching and mentoring of referral team members (Senior Teller).
Support the Assistant Branch Manager in generating sales and referrals for loans, deposits, investments and Bank’s other related products and services (Senior Teller).
