Kentucky Educational Television (KET) is seeking a full-time Television Broadcast Engineer for its Lexington, Kentucky Network Center. KET is Kentucky's only statewide media organization, reaching over two million people weekly and broadcasting into eight states and ten media markets, with live and on-demand streaming services. Beyond PBS programming, KET produces hundreds of hours of award-winning local productions and educational resources annually. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a respected public media team, supporting a variety of productions including Kentucky's only nightly statewide news program, six locally produced series, and Kentucky history and cultural series and documentaries. As a Broadcast Engineer, you will be a vital part of a six-person engineering team managing innovative technologies in a professional television studio, production, and broadcast environment across three facilities (Lexington, Louisville, and Frankfort). You will play a key role in providing technical support for master control, media processing and playout, four state-of-the-art studios and control rooms, and an interconnected post-production system. The Technology group at KET includes Engineering, Transmissions Systems, Broadcast Operations, Information Technology, Digital Product Development, and Facilities, all collaborating to support programming production, processing, and delivery statewide.
