The Telesitter Monitor Technician is responsible for continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients through a non-recording video monitoring system. This role involves monitoring potentially life-threatening risk behaviors exhibited by low-risk suicidal patients and patients at high risk for falls, elopement, violence, etc. The technician will verbally redirect or STAT alarm patient risk behaviors while notifying nursing staff for assistance. They will also ensure all patient information is entered correctly into the monitoring hardware device and documented in the Telesitter monitoring log. Additionally, the technician monitors the use and distribution of telesitter monitoring devices throughout the assigned unit.
