About The Position

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The hospital is central to a comprehensive network of affiliated ambulatory and outpatient practices, and serves as NYU Langone Health's anchor for healthcare access, growth, and delivery in the entire borough. Requirements

• High School Diploma required
• Two years of Telephone experience in Healthcare, a Hotel or a large institutional environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Operates communications system
• Telephone Switchboard
• Contacts all hospital personnel in emergency situations
• Maintains code book
• Maintains telephone database
• Interacts appropriately with different levels of management
• Pages trauma groups
• Announces over head emergency calls
• Follows fire alarm emergency procedures
• Answers emergency elevator calls
• Follows specific procedures for Code Trauma Condition
