The Telemetry Technician monitors noninvasive cardiac activity and other clinical parameters for patient populations ranging from adolescence to geriatric using continuous electrocardiographic display and pulse oximetry. This role involves interpreting the patient's cardiac rhythm and performing critical alarm hand-offs to the nursing unit. The technician is also responsible for maintaining monitoring data and generating daily reports for the patient's permanent medical record via an electronic shift report directly into the EMR.
