Telemetry Technician - Central Monitoring Unit

About The Position
Performs various activities regarding telemetry monitoring on patients requiring continual cardiac monitoring. This is a 36 hours per week position with shifts from 7pm - 7:30am at Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Prior telemetry or EKG experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and communicates cardiac patterns on telemetric devices.
- Maintains telemetry monitoring equipment and supply inventory.
- Documents irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat.
- Forwards changes to nurse and/or attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
