Telemetry Technician - Cardiovascular Unit - Nights
About The Position
This position is for a Telemetry Technician in the Cardiovascular Unit at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus. The role involves monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry using telemetry equipment to detect abnormal pattern variances. The technician is responsible for notifying nursing and/or medical personnel according to established procedures and performing necessary clerical duties. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum three months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience.
- Must pass initial and ongoing competencies.
Nice To Haves
- EKG Certification
- Experience monitoring rhythms of anywhere between 50-70 patients
- Experience with Philips Monitoring System
- Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
Responsibilities
- Monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances via telemetry equipment.
- Notifies nursing and/or medical personnel according to established procedure.
- Performs clerical related duties as necessary.
