Telemetry Technician - Cardiac Progressive Care

Responsible for performing general secretarial and clerical duties in the patient care areas. Interacts with patients, families and physicians and acts as a liaison among members of the health care team, patients and families. Assists the nursing staff in coordinating the activity of the unit. Oversees the orderliness of work areas and orders forms and other clerical supplies. Requirements
- Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Interpretation class with a score of at least 80% on the final exam.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Individuals hired with previous monitor technician experience must pass a challenge exam with a score of 80%.
- 1 year of experience in a related healthcare setting in a clinical, clerical, or service capacity (e.g., monitor technician, hospital unit coordinator, certified nurse aide, medical assistant, licensed practical nurse, medical records clerk, food service, or environmental services worker).
- Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program with a 3-month internship program at Swedish may be substituted for the previously defined year of experience.
