Requirements

  • Must be able to monitor electrocardiogram and SPO2 measurements constantly for designated patients and inform the RN of changes.
  • Must be able to maintain and check monitoring equipment daily.
  • Must be able to work as part of the patient care team to maintain organization within the clinical station, answer telephones and patient call lights promptly, and assist patients, hospital visitors, and members of the healthcare team.
  • Must be able to perform clerical functions including organizing the clinical station, tracking equipment inventory, and monitoring electronic orders.
  • Must be able to notify the Charge nurse of new admits and maintain census record.
  • Must be able to participate in Swap Shifts to ensure skill competency.

Responsibilities
