About The Position

We are seeking experienced Telemetry RNs with at least two years of experience in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms. Our facility conducts EKG testing on-site during orientation. We are looking for true Telemetry RNs accustomed to a 1:4 patient ratio and experience in step-down units, as we have encountered issues with Med-Surg/Telemetry RNs not being accustomed to higher acuity patients.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in telemetry in a hospital setting.
• Proficiency in understanding cardioversions.
• Proficiency in understanding transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Experience with a 1:4 patient ratio.
• Experience in step-down units.
• Ability to manage higher acuity patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform EKG testing.
• Assist with cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Manage a patient load of 1:4.
• Provide care for patients with higher acuity needs on telemetry and step-down units.
