About The Position

The Telemetry Nurse Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of our Telemetry Nursing Unit, which typically cares for patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring and treatment for acute and chronic cardiac conditions. The Tele Nurse Manager combines clinical leadership, staff management, and administrative duties to ensure high-quality patient care, patient safety and efficient unit operations.

Requirements

Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Responsibilities

Manage Nursing Staff: train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate registered nurses and support staff on the telemetry unit while fostering professional development and a positive work environment
Oversee Patient Care: ensure appropriate monitoring and care of telemetry patients, maintain patient safety standards, and support coordination of care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Operational Leadership: oversee daily unit workflow in the telemetry department, patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to promote efficient operations and quality patient outcomes
Quality Improvement: implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives, support compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards, and participate in performance improvement efforts
Support Clinical Excellence: promote evidence-based practice, strong clinical judgment, and excellent patient-centered care across the department
