Telemetry Monitor Technician (PRN / Nights) Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Flower Mound, 4400 Long Prairie Rd. Flower Mound, TX 75028. Work hours: PRN Nights, "as needed", 6:45pm-7:15am, weekends required. Telemetry Monitoring Department Highlights: Supportive team environment. Staff longevity with tenure experience. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
EKG certification strongly preferred
1 year of telemetry monitoring experience strongly preferred
GE Monitoring System experience preferred
Basic understanding/ability to learn medical terminology
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates competence in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.
Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly.
Prepares monitor for next patient admission.
Notifies patient’s primary RN promptly of any changes in patient’s monitor view.
