About The Position

Texas Health Kaufman is seeking a PRN Telemetry Monitor Technician to join their Telemetry Department. This role is crucial in monitoring patient telemetry and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of rhythms and rates. The technician will work on a 23-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit and will be part of a supportive team environment with opportunities for educational and career growth. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology

Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
Serves as a patient advocate.
Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers, and all other disciplines.
Practices acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills with patients, families, co- workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.
