About The Position

Texas Health Telemetry Monitor Technicians require a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, acceptable grooming practices, and ability to function in a fast paced, changing environment. Texas Health Alliance is a 151-bed, full-service hospital serving our community since 2012. Our location in North Fort Worth provides convenient care to people in North Fort Worth, Keller, North Richland Hills, Haslet, Roanoke and surrounding areas. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• Basic understanding of medical terminology
• 1 year direct patient care experience involving telemetry monitoring and/or completion of educational program which includes telemetry monitoring.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

• The professional Monitor Tech exhibits understanding of basic human needs as well as demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Collect, report and document patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
• Distinguish and report abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.
• Ensure admission/dismissals are processed promptly; preparations are made to get the monitor ready for admission.
• Communicate promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance.
• Assist with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Documents accurately and appropriately.
