About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a Telemetry Monitor Technician to join our incredible team. This position is on our Telemetry floor located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd. The Boise Telemetry department serves a patient population ranging 16 years of age to 100+ years who primarily have cardiac conditions, non-hemorrhagic stroke conditions, or rapid responses from other departments within the hospital. This department is unique because it operates as a progressive care unit rather than a 'med-surg' unit. This team serves approximately 650 patients monthly. A typical colleague schedule consists of working three 12-hour shifts. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk required.
Previous hospital or medical office experience preferred.
Basic Medical Terminology and Anatomy.
Advanced classes in Medical Terminology and Anatomy preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide cardiac monitoring for patients who are on heart monitors and general unit clerk support for the clinical staff on the Telemetry Unit.
Communicates effectively with team members, patients, and their families regarding patient information, messages, and medical documentation.
Facilitates smooth operation of the unit.
