About The Position

Telemetry Monitor Technician– Telemetry Department. Work location: Texas Health Kaufman - 850 Ed Hall Dr, Kaufman, TX 75142. Work hours: PRN- Nights. Availability within 7:00Pm - 7:00Am. Every Friday night. Telemetry Department highlights: 23 bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. Self-scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
  • Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology

Nice To Haves

  • Rhythm Interpretation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
  • Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
  • Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
  • Serves as a patient advocate.
  • Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers, and all other disciplines.
  • Practices acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills with patients, families, co- workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.
