Requirements

ADN, diploma, BSN, or foreign equivalent.
Arizona Registered Nurse license.
American Heart Association BLS certification.
American Heart Association ACLS certification within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

One year of recent acute care experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive, safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired patient health outcomes.
Recognize and respond to changes in a patient’s condition, including changes in laboratory results, vital signs, signs, and test values, in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
Recognize the limits of the scope of practice, seek multidisciplinary collaboration, use appropriate resources, and follow the chain of command.
Delegate tasks based on patient needs, potential for harm, patient stability, task complexity, outcome predictability, and the scope of the nurse’s skill set and practice.
Participate as a team member and use team skills effectively on a daily basis.
Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide care sensitive to and consistent with patients’ cultural values, beliefs, and customs.
