The Social Worker PRN remote on-call is primarily responsible for responding virtually to positive suicide screenings and other urgent Social Drivers of Health (SDOH) needs. They also provide additional community resources as needed. All duties are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures and within the professional standards of the social work profession as defined by the National Association of Social Worker's Code of Ethics. The basic exception of this position is to perform duties on an on-call basis.

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) and Wisconsin Advanced Practice Social Work (APSW) certification/licensure required.
  • Minimum of one year of social work or related field experience required.
  • Analytical ability to master complex medical information and interpret it to the social, psychological and economic needs of children and families is required.
  • Utilizing independent judgment in order to apply general directives, analyze problems and develop detailed plans for their resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to relate to people of varying socioeconomic classes with differing lifestyles or cultural values is required.
  • Flexibility to be available for on-call, as assigned, to meet department needs and respond virtually to care for patients/families is required.
